The Japan Football Association (JFA) has officially unveiled the new 2023 away jersey for the Japanese women's football team in Tokyo. The new jersey will accompany the Japanese women's football team in the Women's World Cup, which will be held in Australia and New Zealand in July this year.
Gradient Soccer Jersey with Pink Color
The new away jersey of the Japanese women's football team is based on the concept of SUNRISE, which symbolizes the determination to become world number one again. It uses gradient colors to showcase the dreamy sky at sunrise. The away jersey of the Japanese women's football national team for the World Cup is inspired by the stunning pink sunrise of Mount Fuji, presented in a pink tone design.
The goal of creating this brand-new away jersey is to provide support for players in the game like the energy flowing out at sunrise. After 12 years of winning the Women's World Cup, the Japanese women's football team will convey the message of "blooming proudly" to the world, allowing the "caretaker child of the world" (world なでしこ) to bloom again.
When it comes to the all-new away jersey for the national team, Kenai Iwabara, who currently plays for Tottenham Hotspur women's football team, said, "I think this is a cute color and innovative design that I have never seen before. When I see sunrise as the concept of a jersey, I feel an energy surge inside me. Therefore, I hope to play football in a way that inspires those who see us wearing this jersey.
Inspired by the unique landscapes of the hosts of this World Cup, Australia and New Zealand, we hope to create a common theme on our jerseys to celebrate natural wonders around the world. Of course, this series of jerseys adhere to a focus on athletic performance and are equipped with cutting-edge technology to help players better cope with modern football matches.
