What is dye sublimation printing for sportswear? If you need custom teamwear with your number and logo, using transfer printing is a good choice. There is a four-step process for custom sublimation sportswear.
Design all the graphics for your sportswear
You need to design graphics for each section of the jersey – the front and back, as well as the arms and cuffs. Combine the graphics into a master layout. The paper is printed from the master layout file. XTeamwear’s designer can give you different graphics for your team jersey with a unique design online. Just tell us your team’s name and number.
Print the dye sublimation ink onto the transfer paper
When ensuring the graphic of your team wear, XTeamwear will produce the same size clothing transfer paper. The worker will then print the sublimation ink onto a ream of transfer paper. The ink will rapidly form a solid on the transfer paper.
Utilize the roller for sublimation
To sublimate the ink, the roller uses extreme heat (350-420 °F) and pressure. The colorful vapor can get deeper into the custom sports team wear when the pores of the textile open in response to the heat.
When the temperature cools down, the vapor deeper into the custom sports team wear will become solid ink form. Now the dry sublimated printing is OK. The graphic of your team wear is ready for cutting and sewing.
Sew together the pieces
At this point, transfer paper is useless and should be thrown away. You can follow the design graphic to the finishing cutting and sewing to create a unique team jersey with a custom logo, number and name.
